Ingredients 🛒
- 250 g unsalted butter (very soft, not melted)
- 100 g icing sugar (powdered sugar)

- 150–200 g dark or milk chocolate (for dipping)
Method 👩🍳
- Cream: Beat butter and icing sugar until very pale, soft, and fluffy (3–5 minutes).
- Flavour: Mix in vanilla and egg white (if using).
- Dry mix: Sift in flour and salt. Mix just until smooth. Dough should be soft enough to pipe, not stiff.
- Pipe: Using a large open star nozzle (1M or 2D), pipe S or W shapes onto a lined tray. Chill tray for 20 minutes to help cookies hold their shape.
- Bake: Bake at 170°C for 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden (not brown).
- Cool: Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
- Dip: Melt chocolate (double boiler or microwave). Dip half of each cookie, place on parchment, and let chocolate set.
