  • ½ cup warm milk (120 ml)
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (120 g)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions 👩‍🍳

  1. Activate yeast: Mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tbsp sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Make dough: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, eggs, and yeast mixture. Knead until smooth. Gradually add butter and knead until elastic (10–12 minutes).
  3. First rise: Cover and let dough rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours until doubled.
  4. Shape: Divide dough into equal portions. Arrange in a greased round pan for a pull-apart style.
  5. Second rise: Cover and let rise 45–60 minutes until puffy.
  6. Egg wash: Brush with egg yolk + milk mixture for a glossy finish.
  7. Bake: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve: Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Enjoy warm.
