Ingredients

- 300 g (10.5 oz) minced meat (beef, pork, or mix)
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried peppers or chili flakes
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
For the Pastry
- 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

- Prepare filling: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant. Add minced meat and cook until browned. Stir in carrot, basil, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook until carrot softens. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Prepare pastry: Roll puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into squares or circles depending on desired shape.
- Fill: Place a spoonful of meat mixture in the center of each pastry piece. Fold over to enclose filling and seal edges with a fork.
- Egg wash: Brush tops with beaten egg for golden color.
- Bake: Place on parchment-lined tray. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and enjoy warm.
