Pineapple Brown Sugar Glazed Ham 🍍🍖✨
A festive centerpiece—tender ham baked with a sweet pineapple glaze, golden caramelized crust, and fruity garnish.
Ingredients
- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 8–10 lbs)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup honey
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices, drained (reserve juice for glaze if desired)
- 1 jar (6 oz) maraschino cherries (optional)
- Whole cloves (optional, for decoration)
Directions
- Preheat: Heat oven to 325°F (160°C). Place ham in a large roasting pan.
- Prepare ham: Score surface in a diamond pattern. Stud with cloves if desired.
- Make glaze: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, and pineapple juice. Simmer 5 minutes until sugar dissolves.
- Assemble ham: Brush glaze over ham. Arrange pineapple slices, securing with toothpicks. Add cherries in centers if using.
- Bake: Cover loosely with foil. Bake 1½–2 hours (about 15 minutes per pound), basting every 30 minutes. Remove foil for last 20 minutes to caramelize.
- Garnish & serve: Rest 10 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with extra glaze and serve warm.
Tips
- Extra shine: Add 1 tbsp butter to glaze for glossy finish.
- Flavor boost: Mix a splash of orange juice or bourbon into glaze.
- Serving idea: Pair with scalloped potatoes or roasted vegetables.
