Ingredients
- 1 pound thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin works best)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- ½ tsp salt
- ÂĽ tsp black pepper
- 4 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Directions
- Preheat skillet: Heat skillet over medium-high.
- Sauté veggies: Add olive oil, then onions and peppers. Cook 5–7 minutes until soft and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
- Cook beef: Add sliced beef to skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 4–5 minutes until no longer pink.
- Combine: Return onions and peppers to skillet. Mix well.
- Melt cheese: Lay provolone slices over beef mixture. Let melt.
- Assemble: Spoon cheesy beef mixture into toasted hoagie rolls.
