Ingredients

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 2 egg yolks
- 40 g (3 tbsp) sugar
For the Apple Layer
- 3 apples (~500 g)
- 40 g (3 tbsp) sugar
- 4–5 tbsp lemon juice
For the Cream-Soufflé
- 2 egg whites
- 40 g (3 tbsp) sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 400 g (1⅔ cups) natural yogurt or sour cream
- 30 g (3 tbsp) cornstarch
Instructions
- Prepare Dough: Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Add yolks and knead into soft dough. Press into a greased 20 cm pie pan.
- Prepare Apples: Peel and slice apples. Toss with sugar and lemon juice. Spread evenly over dough base.
- Make Soufflé Cream: Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar and vanilla sugar, whipping to soft peaks. Fold in yogurt (or sour cream) and cornstarch until smooth.
- Assemble: Pour soufflé cream over apple layer, spreading evenly.
- Bake: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes, until golden and set. Cool slightly before serving.
