Ingredients

  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g crushed speculoos
  • 200 g grated pears (≈2 medium pears)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 sachet chemical yeast
  • 100 g melted butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 180°C (350°F). Line cake mold with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk Base: Beat eggs with sugar until light and bubbly.
  3. Add Butter: Stir in melted butter gently.
  4. Add Pears: Mix grated pears into batter.
  5. Dry Mix: In another bowl, sift flour, yeast, and salt. Gradually fold into wet mixture.
  6. Chocolate: Melt chocolate and stir into batter vigorously.
  7. Speculoos: Add crushed speculoos and mix until homogeneous.
  8. Bake: Pour batter into mold, smooth surface. Bake 40–45 min until toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool: Let cake cool a few minutes before unmolding.
