Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 1 cup whole wheat or oat flour (or blended oats)

Instructions

Step 1: Mash the Bananas

  1. Peel bananas and mash in a bowl with a fork until smooth and creamy.

Step 2: Add the Flour

  1. Gradually add flour to mashed bananas, stirring until a thick batter forms.
  2. If too dry, add a splash of water. If too wet, sprinkle in more flour.

Step 3: Cook on Stovetop

  1. Heat a non-stick pan on low heat and lightly grease with a few drops of oil (or use dry non-stick).
  2. Pour batter into the pan, shaping like a small loaf or thick pancake.
  3. Cover with lid and cook 10–12 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip carefully and cook another 10 minutes until golden brown and firm.

Step 4: Cool and Enjoy

  1. Let bread cool slightly before slicing.
  2. Enjoy plain or top with nut butter, fruit, or maple syrup.
