Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Prepare the mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, spinach, garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently until just combined.
- Stuff with mozzarella: Take 1–2 tbsp of the mixture, flatten in your palm, place a mozzarella cube in the center, and wrap the meat around it. Seal completely and roll into a ball. Repeat with remaining mixture.
- Cook: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches, without overcrowding. Cook 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Serve: Enjoy warm with marinara sauce for dipping or over pasta. Garnish with extra Parmesan and fresh basil if desired.
