Crispy Fried Pickles 🥒✨

Golden, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned — these crispy fried pickles are the ultimate snack or appetizer! Serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce for a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar dill pickles (sliced into chips and patted dry)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or regular milk with a splash of vinegar)
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs or cornmeal
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Drain and pat the pickle slices dry using paper towels.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and buttermilk.
  4. Place breadcrumbs (or cornmeal) in a third bowl.
  5. Dip each pickle slice first into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat (about 175°C / 350°F).
  7. Fry the pickles in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with ranch or spicy mayo dipping sauce!

Tips:

  • Make sure pickles are dry before coating for maximum crispiness.
  • You can bake them at 200°C (400°F) for a lighter version — just spray with oil and bake 15–20 minutes.
