Crispy Deep-Fried Marshmallows

Ingredients
- 20β24 large marshmallows
- Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Β½ cup (120 ml) cold milk
- 1 egg
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Optional: chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare the marshmallows: Insert each marshmallow onto a wooden skewer or lollipop stick. Set aside.
- Make the batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, sugar, and baking powder. Add milk and egg, then mix until smooth.
- Heat oil: In a deep pan, heat oil to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Dip and fry: Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring itβs fully coated, then carefully place it into the hot oil. Fry for 10β15 seconds until golden brown.
- Drain: Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve: Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired. Serve immediately while warm and gooey!
