ππ― Southern Fried Apples with Cinnamon β¨
Ingredients:
- 4 large apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the apple slices and cook for 3β4 minutes until they start to soften.
- Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Cook for another 6β8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and caramelized.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Serve warm as a dessert, side dish, or topping for pancakes, waffles, or ice cream π¨.
