Ingredients 🛒
Banana Batter
- 2 ripe bananas (200–220g), mashed
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup sugar (or brown sugar)

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
Chocolate Batter
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp milk
- 50–70g dark chocolate, melted (optional but recommended)
Method 👩🍳
- Preheat: Set oven to 170°C (340°F). Line or grease a loaf pan.
- Whisk: In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until slightly pale.
- Mix wet: Add oil (or butter), milk, vanilla, and mashed bananas. Stir until smooth.
- Dry mix: Sift in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Fold gently.
- Divide: Split batter into two equal portions.
- Chocolate swirl: To one portion, add cocoa powder, milk, and melted chocolate. Mix well.
- Layer: Spoon alternating dollops of banana and chocolate batter into loaf pan.
- Marble: Use a skewer to swirl gently for a marble effect.
- Top: Add banana slices or drizzle with chocolate if desired.
- Bake: Bake 50–60 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
- Cool: Rest in pan 10–15 minutes, then transfer to rack to cool completely.
