Meats

  • 225 g ground beef
  • 225 g Italian sausage (casings removed, optional)

Additional

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara or tomato sauce

Directions 👩‍🍳

  1. Preheat oven: 190°C (375°F). Grease a deep pie dish.
  2. Cook meats: In a skillet, brown ground beef and sausage with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Prepare crust: Line pie dish with one crust. Spread half the mozzarella and cheddar over the bottom.
  4. Layer filling: Add meat mixture, then spoon marinara sauce over. Sprinkle remaining cheeses.
  5. Top crust: Place second crust over filling. Seal edges and cut small slits for steam.
  6. Bake: Bake 35–40 minutes until crust is golden brown.
  7. Serve: Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
