Grandma’s Refreshing Cucumber Lemon Herbal Infusion 🌿🍋🥒✨

A gentle, aromatic drink featuring cucumber, lemon, ginger, parsley, and rose petals. Enjoy chilled for a bright, floral-citrus refreshment.

Ingredients

  • Water: 1.5 L (about 7½ cups)
  • Cucumber: ½, thinly sliced
  • Lemon: 1, thinly sliced
  • Ginger: 10 g, thin slices
  • Parsley: 20 g, lightly bruised
  • Dried rose petals: 10 g, food-grade

Instructions

  1. Heat: Bring the water to a gentle simmer (not a rolling boil).
  2. Infuse: Add cucumber, lemon, ginger, parsley, and rose petals. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Steep: Turn off heat, cover, and let steep 20–30 minutes for maximum flavor.
  4. Strain: Pour through a fine sieve into a jug to remove solids.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for 2–3 hours. Serve over ice.

Optional additions

  • Honey: 1–2 teaspoons, stirred in after straining
  • Apple slices: A few thin slices for gentle sweetness
  • Mint: 4–6 leaves for extra freshness

Yield

Makes: About 6–7 cups (serves 4–6).

Notes

  • Food-grade petals: Use culinary rose petals only.
  • Flavor balance: If too tart, remove lemon slices sooner or add a touch of honey.
  • Storage: Keep chilled and consume within 24–48 hours.
  • General wellness: This is a flavorful infusion, not a medical cleanse.
