Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • ΒΌ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, combine chicken strips, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Cook Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. SautΓ© Vegetables: Add shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Cook 2–3 minutes until softened slightly.
  4. Add Sauce: Pour in chicken broth, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Simmer 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Combine: Return chicken to skillet. Stir to coat with vegetables and sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve: Garnish with green onions if desired. Serve hot with rice.
