A cozy, budget-friendly one-pot dish with tender cabbage, savory beef, and tomatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1 small cabbage, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1 tsp paprika or chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Cook Beef & Aromatics: Brown ground beef over medium heat; drain fat. Add onions and garlic, sauté 3–4 minutes.
  2. Add Tomatoes: Stir in diced tomatoes with their juice. Season with salt, pepper, and optional paprika. Simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Add Cabbage: Add chopped cabbage, stir, cover, and cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
  4. Taste & Adjust: Adjust seasoning to preference.
  5. Serve: Enjoy hot with bread, rice, or mashed potatoes.
