Salted Toffee Squares 🍫✨
Sweet, salty, and irresistibly rich—these homemade toffee squares are pure comfort in every bite!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Extra sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Prep the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Make the Toffee: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and heavy cream, stirring until dissolved. Bring to a boil and simmer 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- Add Vanilla: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and ½ tsp sea salt.
- Pour: Spread the toffee mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- Top with Chocolate: Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot toffee. Let melt, then spread into an even layer.
- Add Sea Salt: Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top.
- Chill: Refrigerate at least 2 hours until firm. Cut into squares and enjoy!
