Ingredients
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup (100 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup (30 g) cornstarch
- ¼ tsp salt
- Optional: Granulated sugar for coating
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Beat butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and mix well.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: Sift flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Chill: Shape dough into a log, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Slice & Bake: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Slice dough into ½-inch rounds, place on lined baking sheet, and bake 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
