Slow Cooker Herb-Infused Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy ππβ¨
Juicy beef patties simmered in a rich mushroom gravy, infused with herbs for maximum flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg
- ΒΌ cup minced onion
- ΒΌ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Make Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, egg, minced onion, breadcrumbs, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley. Shape into 4β6 patties.
- Sear (Optional): Brown patties in a skillet for 2β3 minutes per side to lock in flavor.
- Layer in Slow Cooker: Place sliced mushrooms and onions at the bottom. Add patties on top.
- Add Liquids: Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the patties.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6β7 hours or high for 3β4 hours.
- Thicken Gravy (Optional): Mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp water, stir into the slow cooker, and cook for 10 minutes until thickened.
- Serve: Plate patties with mushroom gravy spooned generously over the top. Pair with mashed potatoes or rice.
