Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural style)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp fine sea salt
  • 2 cups chopped Butterfinger candy bars (~8 full-size bars)
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter & Sugars: Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in peanut butter, then eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla. Scrape bowl as needed.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture on low speed until just combined.
  5. Fold In Mix-Ins: Stir in chopped Butterfinger pieces and optional chocolate chips.
  6. Shape Cookies: Scoop 2-tbsp portions, roll into balls, and place on sheets ~3 inches apart.
  7. Bake: Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers slightly soft. Cool 5 minutes on sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
