Golden, crispy pastry filled with seasoned ground meat, gooey cheese, and fresh veggies—perfect as a snack, appetizer, or cozy meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup chopped green bell pepper or scallions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets (thawed)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: chopped parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook Filling: In a skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper until soft. Add ground meat, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned. Let cool slightly.
  3. Mix in Cheese: Stir shredded cheese into cooled meat mixture.
  4. Assemble Pockets: Cut puff pastry into squares. Add 1–2 tbsp filling to center of each. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  5. Brush & Bake: Brush tops with beaten egg. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Serve: Garnish with parsley or chives. Serve warm with dipping sauce or salad.
