Ingredients

- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup red and green sprinkles (plus extra for topping)
For the Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Holiday sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream Butter & Sugar: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Combine: Mix in sour cream, vanilla, and milk. Gradually add dry ingredients. Fold in sprinkles.
- Bake: Pour batter into pan. Bake 50–55 min until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Make Icing: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cake.
- Decorate: Top with festive sprinkles. Let icing set before slicing.
