Ingredients
For the Dough
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cornmeal

- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Dough: Mix flour, cornmeal, salt, and sugar. Dissolve yeast in warm water (5 min). Add olive oil and combine with dry ingredients. Knead 10 min. Let rise in greased bowl, covered, 1 hr until doubled.
- Cook Sausage: Brown sausage in skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat. Set aside.
- Assemble Pizza: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll dough and press into deep dish pan. Layer mozzarella, ricotta, sausage, marinara, Parmesan, and basil. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
