Garlic Lemon Parmesan Chicken Pasta

Ingredients

For the chicken

  • 1 lb skinless chicken breast, cut into small pieces
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp butter, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

For the parmesan linguine

  • 8 oz linguine
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Cook the chicken

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add minced garlic, lemon zest, and a splash of fresh lemon juice. Cook 1–2 minutes to infuse flavors. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the pasta

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.

Make the parmesan sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in heavy cream and garlic powder. Whisk in Parmesan gradually until creamy and slightly thickened.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine and serve

  1. Add cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat in sauce. If needed, loosen with reserved pasta water.
  2. Plate the linguine, top with lemon-garlic chicken, and garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
