Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- Âľ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ÂĽ tsp almond extract (optional)
- 2 tbsp milk
- Colored sprinkles or melted chocolate for decorating
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy (3–4 minutes).
- Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract (if using).
- Gradually add flour until dough forms. If too dry, add milk 1 tbsp at a time.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a large star tip. Pipe into shapes (rosettes, stars, etc.).
- Decorate with sprinkles or leave plain for dipping in chocolate later.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool completely before decorating with chocolate or extra sprinkles.
