MELTAWAY BROWNIE COOKIES
Ingredients
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt (optional)
- 2 eggs (optional, if needed for texture)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1/2 cup flour (optional, if batter is too loose)
Instructions
- Preheat oven: to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate & butter: In a heatproof bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter together over a bain-marie or in the microwave. Stir until smooth.
- Add sugar: Mix in granulated sugar while the mixture is still warm.
- Optional additions: If using, add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and salt.
- Adjust texture: If the batter is too runny, add a bit of flour to thicken.
- Shape cookies: Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the tray, spacing them apart.
- Bake: 10–12 min until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Cool: Let cookies rest on the tray for 5 min before transferring to a rack.
