Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
  2. Cook chicken breasts for 6–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
  5. Add green beans, stirring to coat in sauce. Cover and cook 5–7 minutes until tender.
  6. Return chicken to skillet, spooning sauce and beans over the top. Cook 2–3 minutes to reheat.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
