Egg Tarts

Ingredients

Tart Shells

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened but firm
  • 2 tbsp cold milk

Filling

  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup condensed milk (more if preferred)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  2. Form dough into molders using fingers, covering the whole mold.
  3. Bake tart shells in pan (Kawali) for 25 minutes at low heat.
  4. Remove shells and add filling.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes at low heat.
  6. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
