Ingredients

  • 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Food coloring (optional, red or green)
  • Granulated sugar (for rolling, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix powdered sugar, butter, cream, and peppermint extract until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Divide and color the dough if desired, kneading until evenly tinted.
  3. Roll into 1/2-inch balls and flatten gently with fingers or fork.
  4. Place on parchment-lined tray and air dry for at least 12 hours until firm.
  5. Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
