Soft Christmas Peppermints
Ingredients
- 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Food coloring (optional, red or green)
- Granulated sugar (for rolling, optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix powdered sugar, butter, cream, and peppermint extract until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide and color the dough if desired, kneading until evenly tinted.
- Roll into 1/2-inch balls and flatten gently with fingers or fork.
- Place on parchment-lined tray and air dry for at least 12 hours until firm.
- Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
