🍳 Perfect Poached Eggs on Toast
A simple yet elegant breakfast — creamy poached eggs served over crispy toast, seasoned to perfection!
🥚 Ingredients:
- 2 fresh eggs
- 2 slices of bread (toasted)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar (optional, helps eggs hold shape)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped chives for garnish
👩🍳 Preparation:
- Fill a pot with water and bring it to a gentle simmer (not boiling).
- Add a splash of vinegar to the water (optional).
- Crack one egg into a small bowl.
- Create a gentle whirlpool in the water using a spoon and carefully drop the egg into the center.
- Cook for about 3–4 minutes until the white is set but the yolk is still soft.
- Remove the egg with a slotted spoon and place it on paper towel to drain.
- Place each poached egg over a slice of toast.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garnish with chopped chives.
