🔥 Crispy Honey BBQ Chicken Wings

Golden fried wings coated in a sweet and smoky honey BBQ sauce — sticky, flavorful and impossible to resist. Perfect for game day or any party!

Prep: 15 min • Cook: 25 min • Makes: 4–6 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (≈1 kg) chicken wings, split and tips removed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the wings: Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Coat the wings evenly in the flour mixture.
  2. Heat oil: Pour vegetable oil into a deep skillet or pot (about 2 inches deep). Heat to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Fry the wings: Fry wings in batches for 8–10 minutes per batch, turning occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked. Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate to drain.
  4. Make the sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine BBQ sauce, honey, hot sauce (if using), and butter. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened (about 3–5 minutes).
  5. Coat the wings: Place the fried wings in a large bowl. Pour the warm sauce over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks if desired.

Tips

  • Double fry the wings for extra crispiness: fry once at 300°F, rest, then again at 375°F.
  • For oven-baked version: bake wings at 425°F (220°C) for 45 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Use parchment paper or foil to make cleanup easier.

Serving Suggestions

  • Perfect for game day, BBQ parties, or movie nights.
  • Serve with fries, coleslaw, or a fresh salad.
  • Top with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for a garnish.

🍯 Sticky, saucy, and full of flavor — these wings are always a crowd favorite!
