🥩🔥 Oven-Seared Garlic Butter Steaks
Juicy, tender, and full of flavor — these oven-finished steaks are cooked to perfection with garlic butter for a melt-in-your-mouth result!
Ingredients
- 3 ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the steaks: Pat steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Sear: Heat olive oil in a hot skillet over high heat. Sear each steak for about 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
- Add flavor: Lower the heat, add butter, garlic, and herbs. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks for about 1 minute.
- Oven finish: Transfer the steaks onto a foil-lined baking tray. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 5–10 minutes, depending on your desired doneness:
- Rare: 5 min
- Medium: 7 min
- Well done: 10 min
- Rest & serve: Remove from the oven, cover loosely with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Serving Ideas
- Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or garlic bread.
- Drizzle leftover butter from the pan over the top before serving.
Tip: Always let the steaks rest before slicing — this keeps all the juices inside for maximum tenderness! 😋
