π§β¨ Creamy Baked Chicken Rolls
Juicy chicken breasts filled with ham and cheese, baked in a rich creamy sauce β golden, cheesy, and irresistible!
Ingredients
- 4 large chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 4 slices of ham (or turkey ham)
- 4 slices of cheese (mozzarella, gouda, or emmental)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream (or 200 ml cooking cream)
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (for topping)
- 1 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- Prepare chicken: Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and flatten slightly with a rolling pin or meat mallet. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Assemble rolls: Lay a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each chicken piece. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Brown the rolls: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Sear each roll for 2β3 minutes per side until lightly golden (they donβt need to be fully cooked yet).
- Prepare sauce: In a small bowl, mix heavy cream with a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour it into a baking dish.
- Bake: Place the chicken rolls in the dish, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake uncovered for 20β25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Serve: Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
