Cinnamon Sugar Puff Pastry Rolls (Crispy Swirls)
These golden, crispy swirls are made from puff pastry, sugar, and cinnamon — super simple, buttery, and addictive!
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Oil for frying (or bake option below)
Instructions:
- Lightly flour your work surface and unroll the puff pastry sheet.
- Brush the surface with melted butter.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered pastry.
- Roll the pastry tightly from one end to the other into a log shape.
- Cut the log into 1 cm (½ inch) thick slices.
- Press two slices together to form a double spiral shape (like a heart).
- For frying: Heat oil over medium heat and fry each piece until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
- For baking: Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F), place on parchment paper, and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Let them cool slightly before serving. You can dust with extra sugar if desired.
