Cheesy Ham Omelette Cake (Melt-in-the-Middle Omelette)

This fluffy, golden omelette is layered with melted cheese and ham — simple, satisfying, and perfect for breakfast or dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or your favorite)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil, for cooking

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Heat butter or oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
  3. Pour in half of the egg mixture and let it cook for 1–2 minutes until it begins to set.
  4. Place slices of cheese and ham evenly over the semi-cooked omelette.
  5. Pour the remaining egg mixture on top to cover the filling completely.
  6. Cover with a lid and cook gently for about 5–7 minutes until the bottom is golden and the top starts to set.
  7. Carefully flip the omelette (using a plate if needed) and cook the other side for another 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm — slice and enjoy the gooey melted cheese inside!

Tips:

For extra flavor, add herbs, onions, or a sprinkle of grated cheese inside before folding. Perfect with toasted bread or a side salad!
