Vanilla Cream Slice

A soft, creamy vanilla dessert with a buttery biscuit base — light, sweet, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 200 g digestive biscuits (or graham crackers), crushed
  • 100 g melted butter
  • 500 ml cold milk
  • 2 packets (around 150 g) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 250 ml heavy cream (whipped)
  • 200 g cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: Mix crushed biscuits with melted butter until evenly coated. Press firmly into the bottom of a rectangular dish (lined with parchment). Chill for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Make the cream layer: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with vanilla until smooth. Add instant pudding mix and cold milk gradually, whisking until thick and creamy.
  3. Fold in whipped cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the vanilla mixture until well blended and fluffy.
  4. Assemble: Pour the cream mixture over the chilled biscuit base, spreading evenly with a spatula.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until firm.
  6. Finish & serve: Dust generously with powdered sugar, cut into neat squares, and serve chilled.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a thin layer of fruit jam on the biscuit base before spreading the cream.
  • Use vanilla bean paste instead of extract for a stronger vanilla aroma.
  • Keep refrigerated — best served cold!
Optional topping: Add fresh berries or shaved white chocolate for decoration.
