Cream Cheese Banana Bread 🍌🧁

This moist, rich banana bread with a creamy cheesecake layer in the middle is the ultimate comfort treat! Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon snack with coffee.

Ingredients:

For the Banana Bread:

  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 1 package (8 oz / 225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 175Β°C (350Β°F). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir just until combined (don’t overmix). Fold in the walnuts if using.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy and smooth.
  5. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the loaf pan. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top, then pour the remaining batter over it.
  6. Use a knife to slightly swirl the layers together (optional).
  7. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  8. Let the bread cool completely before slicing for the perfect texture.
