🍩 Air Fryer Donuts – Soft, Sweet & Without Oil

Introduction

These Air Fryer Donuts are soft, fluffy, and coated in sugar β€” just like classic fried donuts, but made with almost no oil! Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • Β½ tsp salt
  • ΒΎ cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • Β½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Make the dough: In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. Add the egg, butter, vanilla, salt, and flour. Mix until dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough: Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Shape the donuts: Roll out the dough (about 1–1.5 cm thick). Cut circles with a round cutter, then use a smaller cutter to make holes in the center.
  4. Second rise: Place donuts on parchment paper, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  5. Air fry: Preheat the air fryer to 180Β°C (350Β°F). Place donuts inside (on parchment paper) and air fry for 5–7 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Coat with sugar: Brush the warm donuts lightly with melted butter and roll in sugar.

Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer β€” cook in batches if needed.
  • You can also fill them with jam or Nutella for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
