π© Air Fryer Donuts β Soft, Sweet & Without Oil
Introduction
These Air Fryer Donuts are soft, fluffy, and coated in sugar β just like classic fried donuts, but made with almost no oil! Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- Β½ tsp salt
- ΒΎ cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 egg
- Β½ tsp vanilla extract
- Sugar for coating
Instructions
- Make the dough: In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5β10 minutes until foamy. Add the egg, butter, vanilla, salt, and flour. Mix until dough forms.
- Knead the dough: Knead for about 8β10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Shape the donuts: Roll out the dough (about 1β1.5 cm thick). Cut circles with a round cutter, then use a smaller cutter to make holes in the center.
- Second rise: Place donuts on parchment paper, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Air fry: Preheat the air fryer to 180Β°C (350Β°F). Place donuts inside (on parchment paper) and air fry for 5β7 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Coat with sugar: Brush the warm donuts lightly with melted butter and roll in sugar.
Tips
- Donβt overcrowd the air fryer β cook in batches if needed.
- You can also fill them with jam or Nutella for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
