Ingredients

  • 20–24 large marshmallows
  • Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks
  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Β½ cup (120 ml) cold milk
  • 1 egg
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Optional: chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marshmallows: Insert each marshmallow onto a wooden skewer or lollipop stick. Set aside.
  2. Make the batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, sugar, and baking powder. Add milk and egg, then mix until smooth.
  3. Heat oil: In a deep pan, heat oil to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  4. Dip and fry: Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated, then carefully place it into the hot oil. Fry for 10–15 seconds until golden brown.
  5. Drain: Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
