Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes π₯β¨
Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside β these air fryer roasted potatoes are effortless and delicious. Seasoned with garlic, paprika and a hint of herbs, theyβre perfect as a side or a snack. Ready faster than oven-roasted, and the air fryer gives that beautiful golden crust every time.
Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes (wash well; leave skin on)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
- Β½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- Β½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp dried parsley or rosemary (optional)
- Optional to serve: butter, sour cream, or chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 200Β°C / 390Β°F for 3β5 minutes.
- Dry the potatoes: Pat them with a kitchen towel so the oil and seasoning stick better.
- Season: Rub the potatoes with olive oil. In a small bowl mix garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper; sprinkle over potatoes and rub to coat evenly. Add dried herbs if using.
- Arrange: Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd β cook in batches if needed.
- Cook: Air fry for 30β35 minutes, shaking or turning the potatoes halfway through (around 15β18 minutes) so they brown evenly. Check doneness by inserting a fork β it should slide in easily.
- Finish: When ready, remove and let rest 2 minutes. Optionally slice open and add a pat of butter or a spoon of sour cream, then sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Tips & Tricks
- For extra-crispy skin, prick potatoes a few times before seasoning so steam can escape.
- If using baby potatoes, reduce cook time to 18β25 minutes depending on size.
- For an even faster result, par-boil potatoes 5 minutes before air frying β this gives an extra-fluffy interior.
- Shake the basket gently at least once to ensure even browning.
